Ways to Raise Funds for Your TBB Tuition
There are countless ways that students and families can raise funds to help meet the cost of tuition. Thinking Beyond Borders is committed to assisting students in these endeavors. We can provide program materials, assistance contacting local organizations, or even just a conversation to brainstorm fundraising ideas. Below are some groups and approaches to consider:
Support from Friends and Family - Ask family members to contribute to your tuition. Donations can be given in lieu of birthday or holiday gifts.
High School Scholarships - Guidance counselors often know of scholarships offered by your high school that can apply to your TBB program. They may also know of local and national foundations or organizations offering scholarships for which you can apply.
Parent Associations - Many high schools have parent associations that fundraise to support student programs and activities.
Rotary/Kiwanis/Elks - There are national and international organizations with chapters in local communities that support students and education. Rotary, Kiwanis, and Elks are all potential donors.
Church/Synagogue/Mosque - If you belong to a place of worship, consider asking that community to provide funds. Many religious communities traditionally support service and international understanding programs.
Foundations - There are many local, national, and international organizations supporting youth engaged in leadership and service activities. Speak with your guidance counselor and research online to find those that may contribute to your TBB tuition.
Fundraising Night at School/Home with Family and Friends - Plan a fun, unique, and engaging event at home, in a local business, or other community space. Invite friends, family, and classmates to participate in a dinner, game night, or creative activity as a fundraiser to support your education through TBB.
